Excellent performance of AFM® in comparison with quartz sand and other glass filter media
AFM® is a certified filter media with certifications like NSF 50 (for swimming pools), NSF 61 (for drinking water), HACCP, and UK DWI. In 2014, independent testing by IFTS in France showed that AFM® performs better than quartz sand and other glass filter media, offering more than double the performance of quartz sand.
AFM® is made from a special type of glass, processed for the best particle size and shape. It goes through a 3-step activation process that makes it self-sterilizing and improves its ability to absorb contaminants.
