In November 2015, ProServe, working with Dresser Rand, installed and started up two 780 kW gas generators at the AMAPETCO field in Ras Eldeb Bay, Egypt, 100 km south of Hurghada. These are the first environmentally friendly gas generators in Egypt, using a catalytic converter to reduce NOx emissions to under 100 ppm.
The units are equipped with a CO2 fire extinguishing system, gas leak detection, and sensors for heat, flame, and smoke. Designed to handle low-quality flare gas, they feature advanced technology and are housed in 40-foot soundproof containers. This project will save over 70 MMSCFD of flare gas annually and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 5,000 tons per year.
